Tooth Extractions in Alpharetta, Georgia
At Polish Dental Center Alpharetta, our goal is to protect your teeth and smile, and we make an effort to provide you with conservative treatments that will enhance your oral health and smile. In some cases, however, we may recommend that a tooth be extracted. Some situations which may require a tooth extraction include:
- Severe decay that cannot be treated with more conservative options
- Severe infection in the tooth, gums or supporting bone
- Severely cracked, broken or otherwise damaged teeth that cannot be repaired
Our dentists may extract the tooth during your initial appointment, or we may schedule another appointment with you at a later time to have it removed. We will make every effort to extract your tooth gently, and will provide anesthetic or sedation options to help you feel more comfortable during the procedure.
After we have extracted your tooth, our dentists will work with you to determine which replacement is most appropriate for your individual needs. Depending on your oral health and on the number of teeth that have been extracted, we may recommend a dental bridge, dental implant or dentures. We strongly recommend that you replace your missing tooth or teeth, as your remaining teeth may shift out of place and cause damaged to your oral health, remaining teeth and smile.
